Donatella Versace as of late exhibited Versus Versace’s 2017 spring/summer gathering at London Fashion Week. Set in the storm cellar of the University of Westminster, the show was opened by model existing apart from everything else, Bella Hadid. Discussing the motivation behind her most recent accumulation, the creator clarified that she was attempting to take her “Versus young lady” back to the runway: “She’s an awful young lady, a dissident. She breaks rules.” Aligned with the theme, models in dark and armed force green outfits strutted down the runway in a steady progression. Highlighted pieces incorporate cowhide coats, belt-like tube tops, edited MA-1 coats, thick boots, and silver smaller than usual dresses. Skim the display above to look at all of the runway looks.
For spring 2017, Donatella Versace worked with Versus’ in-house design team for a rebellious, rock and roll tinged outing. With the label’s former designer, Anthony Vaccarello, now at Saint Laurent, the collection focused on body con silhouettes and sporty vibes. Bella Hadid opened the show in a boxy leather jacket with hot pants and biker boots. Elsewhere, the bomber jacket got an update with cropped versions in army green. The Versus girl showed some skin in mesh crop tops, mini dresses with flared hemlines and side cut outs. Distressed light wash denim brought a call out to the 1980’s while silver mini-dress ended the show on a party note.
